Endless Space
Privacy policy · last updated 19 October 2026
Endless Space is a game made by Tom Black. This page says what the game
keeps about you, why, and how to have it deleted. Short version: no names,
emails or contacts are needed to play (signing in with Google, to keep your
account, is your choice), nothing is sold, and you can delete everything from
inside the game.
What's kept, and why
- An anonymous account. The game signs you in without asking for
anything: a random id, so your progress can be saved and your scores put
on the leaderboards.
- Your Google account, if you sign in with it. In the Android app
you can choose to keep your account with Google, so you can get it back on
another phone. Then your Google account's id and email address are kept
with your game account, only to sign you back in. Nothing is posted to
Google and nothing else is read from it.
- Your progress. Your settings, looks, credits, cores, goals and
stats, on your device and as a cloud save tied to the anonymous account.
- Your runs. The score, distance and time of runs sent to the
leaderboards, with the steering of ranked runs, to check they're genuine.
- Your pilot name. The name you pick (or the one made up for you)
shows on the leaderboards next to your scores.
- What other players see. On the leaderboards, other players
see your pilot name, your scores, the looks on your ship, whether you have
premium, and, when they tap you, your service record: a summary of your
stats (rank, XP, runs, time played, distance, furthest level, best chain,
near misses and pickups), your best score on each board, and the month you
started. Your account id, Google account and email are never shown.
- Purchases. If you buy something, Apple or Google handle the
payment. The game sees what was bought, not your payment details.
- Error reports. When something goes wrong in the game (a crash,
or a sign-in, purchase, ad or cloud save that fails), it sends a short
report: what went wrong, where in the code, the game's version, the
platform, your phone's model, the screen you were on and when, tied to the
anonymous account id. Emails, names and sign-in tokens are taken out first.
At most a few a day; they're only used to fix bugs and are never
shared.
- Reports about other pilots. If you report a pilot from the
leaderboards (for an offensive name or an impossible score), the report,
your account id and theirs, and their name at the time are kept so it can be
looked at. Nobody else sees who reported whom.
Google user data
Only if you choose to sign in with Google (Android app only).
- What the game accesses. Your Google account's id and email address, from Google Sign-In (the basic "openid", "email" and "profile" sign-in). Nothing else: no contacts, files, Gmail, Drive or other Google data.
- How it's used. Only to keep your game account and sign you back in, for example on a new phone. It isn't used for ads, analytics or anything else.
- How it's stored and protected. In the game's account database (Supabase), over encrypted connections, and only readable by your own account. It is never shown to other players.
- Sharing. Your Google user data is not sold, and not shared with anyone, apart from Supabase, which stores it for the game.
- Deleting it. "Delete my account and data" in settings removes it at once, or email the address below.
Notifications
In the Android app you can turn on a daily reminder in settings (it's off
until you do). Android then asks whether the game may show notifications.
The reminders are made on your phone and shown by it, once a day at most;
nothing about them is collected or sent anywhere, and there's no push
server. Turn them off in the game's settings or your phone's.
Who else is involved
- Supabase stores the account, cloud save, runs, leaderboards,
reports and error reports.
- Google confirms who you are when you sign in with Google (only if
you choose to).
- RevenueCat checks purchases with Apple and Google, using the
anonymous account id.
- Google AdMob shows the optional ads you choose to watch for a
reward (on the phone apps only). AdMob may use your device's advertising
id to show and measure ads. You're asked for consent where the law needs
it (and on iPhone, whether apps may track you); you can change your
answer in the game's settings or your phone's settings. Premium removes
ads.
There are no analytics or tracking beyond this, and nothing is sold.
How long it's kept
For as long as you play. Delete your account and it's gone: your
account, cloud save, runs, scores, name, error reports and the reports you
sent are deleted at once. Records of
purchases are kept, without the account, as stores and tax rules need.
Deleting your data
In the game: settings, then "delete my account and data". It deletes
everything on the server and on your device. Purchases can still be
restored from the App Store or Google Play afterwards. If you can't open
the game, email the address below and it will be done for you.
Children
The game isn't made for children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect
anything from them. If you think a child has used it, get in touch and
their data will be deleted.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask what's kept about you, have it corrected
or deleted, or take a copy. Email the address below.
